  • Hi Rebecca, Thanks for asking.  The bootcamp was FANTASTIC!  ... I've never had a group exercise session before where I didn't care what anyone else was doing and I didn't care if I couldn't do it all like an Olympic athlete.  I felt really, really proud the whole time that I was there and that I was participating at about 100% of my capacity the whole time.  When I rested or walked, it was so I could get back in the game.  To me, that's still 100%.

Kay Lynne was right next to me and that really helped. She offered me a lot of encouragement but I didn't feel like it took away from her workout, so I didn't feel self-conscious (also new...).  Dave, like you, was great about explaining WHY it mattered that I was doing what I could, even if I wished it were more.  It countered years of the message, "This isn't going to make any difference."

  • I didn't like missing today's final session (sick kiddo) and the fact that I wasn't happy about missing says A LOT about this class! I'll definitely be back for session 5 ...
  • "I love bridal bootcamp.  It's been very challenging for me...in a good way.  I feel great.  I would love to take the class twice a week.......especially during the week."
  • "I joined the class on Saturday and I loved it! My body hurt all day yesterday!!!"
  • "It is amazing on how a bootcamp could change my perspective to change and create a healthy lifestyle.  I have a new attitude and I owe it to Bridal-Bootcamp.  I was leery at first.  I knew I was out of shape and 20 pounds overweight.  I had real bad hail damage on areas of my body that no insurance & no company could give me any type of coverage. :)  To be honest, when I was forwarded the information about camp I was skeptical.  I thought that I wouldn't complete two weeks of it. I would easily give up until I met Dave and Rebecca.  They were down to earth and not fake or phony.  Dave has taught me so much about working out and what to eat.  It helps when "Super Dave" pushes me in class.  The emails each week do help keep me motivated.  It just shows me  that you care and want us to succeed.  Each week I learn something new...either a muscle I never felt before or learning correct form.  By the way, "mind to muscle" does work!!!  Also, I have noticed that while I am doing strength training exercises that my abs are constantly working.  I love that. The most important thing that I have gained from Bootcamp is results.  I do feel good about that!"
  • "I should be the one thanking you for getting me started in STLBBC.  I really needed a jump start and am not sure that I would have had one if you and Dave didn't set up the class!  I am usually the type of person that waits until the last minute and then becomes really stressed because I did!  I also want to thank you for putting me in touch with Dave for personal training sessions!  I love them and don't plan on stopping them anytime soon!"
  • "Although I haven't had huge changes, I know that I have had some.  I have had a few people that I haven't seen in a while comment on how I'm looking so much better and they can really tell a difference.  I never even told them I was working out and I also didn't think the changes were that noticeable.  It's such a great feeling and makes me want to work harder to make greater changes."
  • "Both you and Dave are so awesome!   It's really nice to have both of you actually care and spend your time outside of class to motivate and check up on every one.  Not many people would do that.  Thank you!"
  • "Wow, it was amazing!  I feel like someone beat me with a baseball bat, but hey, it was a great workout."
