Cardiovascular exercise is included, along with flexiblity. Visit our Registration Page to let us know you are interested, and we will get back with you ASAP.

EBF "Metabolic" Boot Camp: "boot camp intensity with personal training support"

*scroll down to check out video sampler of our EBF Boot Camp

Our boot camps are for every body! Not just for "moms" or "brides", our interval style cardio and strength training classes will benefit all who come. (Check out the video below to get a feel for what our classes are like.)

Our boot camps are not a typical group of 20+ participants. We focus on the individual, intentionally keeping class sizes smaller to insure everyone gets the attention they need to safely and effectively progress toward their goals. Our program can be viewed as a prerequisite and ultimate complement to any other program or personal effort you are now partaking. Participating in our "group personal training" style boot camp will insure you get more out of participating in another class, using any particular nutrition program, or simply putting forth your own effort by yourself. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions below for more details.

Boot Camp FAQ's

If we only meet one time per week, how will you keep me accountable? Don't I need to workout more?
We keep the class sizes small enough to get to know all the campers, so with 3 instructors on staff, we keep an eye on everyone whether doing a push up in class or at work on a Tuesday afternoon by sending out Q & A emails, motivational emails online, and reminders of exercises, nutritional guidance, etc. Emails and phone call follow ups may include, but are not limited to: food journals, accountability calendar / activity trackers, grocery lists, exercise pictures, and more.

What happens if I know I won't be able to make a few classes?
We treat each case in a case by case scenario. Most likely we will work with you to make another scheduled class on another day. We have 4 classes going on each week, so hopefully we will find a week day morning, evening, or week end schedule that may fit your schedule. While each type of boot camp is geared towards moms or brides, etc., we follow a similar weekly progression so someone can go to another days class in the same week and receive a similar workout.

Can I drop in to a class one time to try it out?
Absolutely, you can drop in a day for free to workout with us, and then if you choose, sign up for the remaining classes at a prorated rate. Please call or email us to let us know what class you would like to join so the instructor can prepare appropriately.

What if I can’t perform a certain exercise? How can you watch so many people at once?
We keep the class sizes small enough to watch each camper, and often have 2 instructors in many of the classes to watch each person. The first few weeks focus on S.A.F.E. form with each movement we ask you to do. We refuse to teach "mindless exercises" just for the sake of a sweat, we emphasize EDUCATION of one's own body, inside and out, from walking the aisles of the grocery store to holding a "push up plank" for 60 seconds. Instructors always encourage, and while we are very serious about teaching you how to get a tough, results driven exercise session, we do not intimidate you with military type criticism.

What do I need to do to get started?
We recommend a hand towel, a water bottle, running or cross training shoes, loose, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen in the summer. Drinking fountains are available at each venue, although if we go outside, a water bottle is highly recommended.

What about the weather?
During inclement weather – too hot, too cold, raining, etc. – we will conduct activities indoors at our training locations unless otherwise notified.

Who can/should attend?
EveryBody! EBF Boot Camps are designed for all fitness levels. You don’t have to be "in great shape" to begin, in fact, the first phase, (first few weeks), are geared towards reviewing and learning fundamental exercise movements that can be done in a health club, a park, or in your living room. Whether you've played a sport in college, or have never exercised before, you will gain a new perspective on how to properly target specific muscles and movements that guarantee results. We keep the class size small enough to address individual needs so we know the fitness levels of each camper. Our goal is to offer camps for several demographics, look for boot camps for baby boomers and seniors (ForeverFIT), firefighters and police officers (FirefighterFIT), and for advanced weight management needs.

What are the times available?
The next round of Group Programs / Boot Camps begin the week of May 3rd, and include the following:

  • Tuesdays, 6:00 pm - Webster Groves Recreation Complex (Group Circuit Training, Wt Room)
  • Wednesdays, 9:30 am - THE HEIGHTS (Boot Camp)
  • Wednesdays, 7:30 pm - Webster Groves Recreation Complex (Group Circuit Training, Wt Room)
  • Thursdays, 6:00 pm - Webster Groves Recreation Complex (Boot Camp)
  • Saturdays, 10:00 am - THE HEIGHTS (Boot Camp)

How do you get to know each individual boot camper?
While we attempt to keep the classes manageably small, with number between 8 and 12 people per class, we are still challenged with getting to know each camper to best customize his or her experience. We begin with the Pre-camp Questionnaire below, then follow up with questions, comments, and emails throughout the 6 week session to follow up with this knowledge.
